Full electrical installation at Bookers Wholesale
A really exciting project that we have been working on recently is for Bookers Wholesale in Croydon which serves caterers, retailers and other food businesses from across the UK.
Scope of works:
As a market-leading wholesaler with branches located across the UK, the need for each of them to have the very latest MEP designed and installed is of critical importance for its operation.
TNA played a fundamental role in the design, fit and commissioning of the electrical installation of the freezer systems inclusive of power supplies, lighting and emergency lighting.
As an established M&E contractor for the hospitality industry TNA works in all parts of the UK helping the hospitality and catering industries.
Neil Jones, Director of TNA said; “It was an honour to work for such a high-profile brand in the catering and hospitality sector, and alongside the team at Bookers.
“The company and its build supply chain is extremely professional and happy to take on board any advice or improvements at every stage of the project, which ultimately enabled the project to run smoothly and to schedule.”
Originally, the Bookers property refrigeration system was outdated. Therefore, the power and ventilation requirements was needed a complete the overhaul.
To facilitate the change, TNA ensured the electrical calculations were sufficient to accommodate the the new AHT freezer runs and supplied a new power distribution board to provide the power dedicated only to the new freezers.
The team also implemented access routes for equipment and plant to the property without infringing on Bookers’ neighbours.
Unlike most Bookers PLC re-furb work the Branch in Croyden was one of the only branches to shut completely while the works were carried out.
